• Chad Frank - pastor

Chad got involved with H2O as a freshman at Bowling Green, when a great guy named Matt shared with him for the first time, in a clear way, how he could begin a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. This was not Chad’s original plan though, as he came to college wanting to get involved in the party scene. Little did he know that God had a different plan for him. After working for a couple years in his degree field, physical therapy, he made the decision to pursue ministry full-time. At H2O Akron, Chad helps teach on Sunday mornings, and disciples young men in the church. He is married to his wife Eva, and has 3 kids, Brooklynn, Micah, and Logan. Chad’s main hobby is playing any type of sports, even though his old body isn’t liking it as much as of recently.

  • Todd SchlerEth -  PAstor

Todd got involved with H2O as a freshman at Bowling Green, when a friend invited him to a Sunday service. He never thought God would transform him into a Pastor, though he isn’t surprised since he has never made a true use of his art degree. Todd loves seeing people get to know Jesus, and embrace the mission God has for them. As a Co-Pastor, he helps teach and share God's word, leads one of our Missional Communities, oversees the ins and outs of our Sunday services, and disciples young men. Todd is a family man. He is a husband to his wife Kelley for 10 years and counting, and is a father to his children Josiah, Caroline, and Theo. He enjoys family time, watching movies, and mushroom hunting whenever he can!

  • David hench - support staff

David got involved with H2O his freshman year of college in 2013. He caught a vision of planting a church on Akron's campus, and was able to see God work through H2O here at the University of Akron over the course of getting a degree in communications. He decided to go on staff with H2O because he knew God wanted to continue to use him to invest in college students here at Akron. His primary roles with H2O include men's discipleship, directing our church's discipleship program (The Well), overseeing church outreach/evangelism, and leading one of H2O's missional communities. David is happily married to his wife Blair, who is a nurse at Summa Hospital, working on a postpartum mother/baby unit. He considers himself to be an “extroverted people person” who loves helping people come alive as the person that God created them to be. His hobbies include playing board games, exploring the outdoors, reading in coffee shops, riding roller coasters, and spending quality time with his loved ones!
